Article 22: The Head and the Heart

One of my favorite shamans has a belief that I particularly like.

“Use your mind to grab ahold of something, then use your heart to tell you its value.”

I have this mechanism that immediately and instinctively kicks in when I take one of my rare fungus trips.

I shut down my mind and process the entire experience through my heart.

It is such a fabulous way to be.

I can’t be tripping all the time, (unless I want to get nothing accomplished…ever!), So, how do I bring this practice into the daily routine?

Running a business pretty much has me pushing scenarios through my tactical brain all day long.

Sometimes I think I am going to wear out my brain cells from overuse, lol.

To balance things out, I have adopted the practice of picking a plan to follow and then running it through my heart to determine how the method is going to feel before I implement it.

I am slowly creating the discipline of moving everything in my life through my heart to determine its value, without needing to be tripping through mushroom world to make it work.

The practice has a very cool vibe to it that I can’t express with words.

I am liking it.

I am feeling my way down the highway today.

I feel I got this. ;)
