Article 21: Emotional Workout

Emotions let us know that we are experiencing something that we need to pay attention to, whether it be negative or positive.

It is perfectly natural to experience and explore them all.

It is not healthy to hold onto them and live inside of them.

They are messengers, not houses.

A Shaman believes that pieces of our spirit can get trapped within the emotions of the past.

If you are stuck within the emotions of the past, find a method that you relate to that allows you to release them back into the light so that they can be transformed into something positive and healing once again.

See them become something else; I like white butterflies. You can use ice cream cones, puppies, kittens, birds, or whatever makes you feel warm and fuzzy. 

Watch as they fly back to creation.

It may take daily repetition over time to fully release, but repetition is the mother of skill. 

We got this.
