Article 15: Ahead of the Curve (Again)

How do you take something you love and make a living at it?

Although there are no guarantees of any sort of success when you are blazing new trails, I have never been shy of forging my way when there is no existing route to follow.

In order to bridge the gap between the people who are in need of healing and the services I offer, I have to create new pathways.

Back when I started out, there were only a handful of people who knew terms like "energy healing, " or "shamanic healing."

Unable to find the right business pathway, I just kept focusing on practicing and sharpening the healing tools my tool kit

I have been relying on word of mouth to bring me clients.

Word of mouth truly is the best form of advertising, but enough people have to know about you to spread the good word to the point where it can pay the bills.

I was ahead of the spiritual curve.

I filled in the gaps by learning how to be a tradesman while

I waited for the day when the curve would catch up to me.

That day has arrived.

Now when I share my perspective on the healing arts, people do not look at me like I have three heads.

They have heard of these alternative forms of healing and have a genuine interest in learning more.

Can't tell you how excited this makes me.

Medical clinics and Naturopathic clinics are now referring patients to me that have medical challenges that they cannot solve.

The doctors watch me use techniques that have existed for more than 10,000 years and they are seeing the profound effect it has on the healing process.

As a result, I get to have the pure joy of answering their wave of questions about the mechanics of spirit healing.

The mind and body can be sick, but their ailments are often symptoms of the lost and wounded parts of the spirit.

The sickness of the soul manifests itself in the body and the mind

If we do not heal the soul, the mind and body cannot follow.

I look around me and see that there are many who are stepping onto the alternative healing path, seeking new ways to manage their health.

I am beyond happy for their company on this road that was once less travelled.
