Article 14: Thoughts Are Spirits

There is an ancient shamanic concept that spans many different tribes passed down from one generation to next, over thousands of years.

Our thoughts evoke spirits.

Good thoughts attract quality spirits, poor thinking attracts less desirable ones.

They consider thinking to be a spiritual undertaking.

Their thoughts are spirits.

They would say "May you travel with the good spirits," which translates into, "May you travel with good thoughts."

It is a very tricky gig being a spirit in a human avatar, attempting to navigate this physical realm. There will be moments of elation mixed with absolute suffering, which makes it extremely difficult to always have great thoughts in our minds.

But if I believe in the practice, I can catch myself and work my way back to walking with a quality state of mind.

May you walk with good spirits today.
