Article 01: Being My Own Spectator

 

Every now and then I try to separate myself from myself and imagine that I can watch my reactions to life experiences from an outsider’s perspective, like I am looking at myself from the bleachers...viewing me playing the game of life.

I try to objectively imagine I can see myself outside of me, to try to get a grasp on where I am with it all…. if that makes any sense?

It might sound like a strange practice, but I do like to entertain it once and a while, especially when I am attempting to process a big change in life.

I think I know how I am handling it on the inside, but I like to examine myself from both the inside and out.

How do you process big-ass life changes?

Do you have tools that you rely on?

Do you have ways to self-assess and to measure how you are adjusting to stuff you were not anticipating?

Sharing with you all is therapy for me…
