Soul-Level Trauma Healing

Healing the wounds that nothing else has reached.

You’ve done the work. So why does it still feel unfinished?

You know your story. You’ve sat in therapy rooms and been honest about what happened. You’ve tried the medication, the meditation, the self-help books with the hopeful covers. And some of that helped, but there is something underneath all of it that hasn’t shifted.

It may not have had a name. It is not quite anxiety, not quite depression, not quite grief. It can feel more like a gap, a part of yourself that seems far away, a pattern that keeps pulling you back no matter how much progress you make on top of it.

You might have explained it to people as feeling stuck, or feeling like you are not fully here, or feeling like something in you quietly shut down a long time ago and never fully came back.

You may have always felt like you never quite fit into your life.

The fact that it has not shifted is not from a lack of effort. Sometimes it is a question of where we are looking.

Soul-Level Trauma™ healing is what happens when the work finally reaches the right level. When we look at the wounds that live below the mind and below the body, we find the ones that exist at the level of the soul.

Why Soul-Level Trauma healing is different

The tools that most people have access to, including therapy, medication, breathwork, and somatic practice, can produce real and meaningful change. But they do not address the way the soul processes traumatic life experiences.

The soul does not process trauma the way other therapies approach healing. It does not file the experience away, work through it gradually, and arrive at some settled relationship with what happened. When something severe enough occurs, a piece of the soul breaks away and stays behind, stranded in the moment it happened, still experiencing the full energy of that event in a loop with no exit and no awareness of time passing.

That fragment is not dormant. It is not waiting patiently somewhere for you to come and collect it. It is still in the moment it got stuck, still feeling everything that happened, and because it remains energetically connected to you regardless of how many years have passed, its experience is shared with you. Not as a memory being triggered, which is how modern psychology tends to describe it, but as a live signal from a part of you that never got out of the moment that broke it. The connection with the wounded soul fragment stays open despite your best efforts to heal your past. You are not failing at healing. You are receiving a transmission from a part of yourself that never stopped experiencing what happened to you.

Modern psychology calls this the subconscious holding the wound, and works to bring it into conscious awareness where it can be processed and integrated. Traditional shamanism recognizes the fragment as lost and works to retrieve it and bring it home. Both of these are true, and both of these can help. What neither of them fully accounts for is what the fragment needs once it arrives back, and what has to happen in the energetic field before arrival is even possible and what energy needs to be cleared from the past events.

A fragment that has been stranded in a traumatic moment for years, or in some cases for most of a lifetime, does not simply settle back into place because someone went and found it. It carries the full weight of everything it experienced in that loop. It needs to be welcomed, not just retrieved. It needs guidance and wisdom. Part of what I do is create the conditions for awareness, understanding, compassion and action that encourage and facilitate the return and set up the conditions in a manner that the fragment feels safe and received enough to stay. Without those conditions, retrieval tends to be temporary. The fragment knows where it came from, and if it feels unsafe or unwelcomed it believes that the suffering is still happening, so it must return to the energy of the past to suffer some more. This is a perfectly reasonable response to an unreasonable situation, and it is why so many people who have experienced partial healing still find themselves sliding back to a place they thought they had left behind.

The other part of the work is what makes permanent return possible. The traumatic event left something behind in the energetic field around it, a residue, a charge. As long as that residue exists in the form that originally created the conditions for fragmentation, the past event continues to exert a pull, on the fragment. We cannot change what happened. What we can change is the energetic residue the event left behind, the charge that keeps the wound active rather than historical. When that residue is transmuted, the event becomes something that occurred rather than something that is still occurring. The fragment loses its reason to return to it.

This is what changes the present and the future. Not by rewriting history, but by removing what history left in the energetic field of your current life. When the residue is gone, the fragment can stay. When the fragment stays, something becomes possible that no amount of processing, insight, or integration can produce on its own, because the part of you that was missing is actually back.

Who is Soul-Level Trauma healing for?

Soul-Level Trauma has a signature. Not a diagnosis in the clinical sense, but a pattern that shows up consistently across people who are carrying it. They can be high-functioning. They can name what happened to them and understand it, but understanding it has not moved it. Other times, the wound occurred before our ability to remember was developed. Sometimes the wounds are ancestorial, passed down the timeline, or connected to the trauma of a past life experience.

We all have soul fragments we have left behind. We all carry the wounds of ancestors, resonating in our energetic construct, stamped into our DNA. We all carry the energy of past lives. It is not a question of if we have these issues, but more a question of to what degree are they affecting us.

Some of the patterns that point toward Soul-Level Trauma:

  • You have done genuine, committed work on your healing and still feel like something fundamental is missing.

  • You are not who you were before a certain event. You can name the moment things shifted. The version of yourself that existed before it does not feel fully accessible anymore.

  • You feel emotionally numb in ways you cannot explain. Present in your life but not quite inside it.

  • The same painful patterns keep repeating, in different relationships, different jobs, different years. You can see them clearly and still cannot stop them.

  • You feel like a part of you is somewhere else, which leaves you unable to be fully present and find genuine joy in your daily life.

  • You have tried a lot of things and each one helped a little, but none of them reached the bottom of it.

  • You have never felt like you quite fit in anywhere in your life.

  • You know you should be happy for the good things in your life, but the feeling eludes you.

These can be signs that the wound is somewhere that other approaches are not reaching.

How Soul-Level Trauma works

Shamanic healing traditions across many indigenous and traditional cultures have been aware of soul fragmentation and soul loss for thousands of years, and have practiced soul retrieval techniques throughout that time.

Soul-Level Trauma™ is a framework I have developed over nearly two decades of professional practice. It creates a modern, clinical understanding of the conditions that produce soul fragmentation, the mechanism by which the fragment continues to affect the present person, and what is required to reach and resolve it. It is designed to encompass the entire process of healing at the soul level, from identifying that the wound exists, to understanding what created it, to the conditions required for lasting recovery.

It was developed from within contemporary shamanism, which draws from a wider view of traditional practices and derives a more modern approach that is less ceremonial and more clinical and analytical, and more easily applied to modern life. Traditional shamanic training is dedicated to the specific beliefs and techniques passed down through the generations of a particular culture. Contemporary shamanism takes a broader view while honouring those traditions.

Soul-Level Trauma healing does not require ceremony, or the use of plant medicines or hallucinogenic substances.

Why this is Mark’s work specifically

Mark Lemohr is a third-generation healer. His great-great-grandmother was a healer and midwife in Rimouski, Quebec in the early 1900s. His grandfather was a dowser. When the other farmers in the area needed to know where to dig their well, they got his grandfather to walk the land. He could sense the vibrations of the earth below him. He was always right. His mother used an energetic practice to help his father recover from a life-threating illness when conventional methods failed to have a positive impact.

That lineage is not a credential. It is a way of saying that this ability did not come from a weekend course. It came to find him over generations, and it showed up in Mark when he was eleven years old, when a vision came to him and showed him how to heal his own debilitating headaches through visualisation. He has practised it ever since.

In 2008, a First Nations shaman told Mark he had no idea what was coming because he had forgotten who he was. Shamanism introduced itself that evening and became central to his work for nearly twenty years.

Today, Mark’s work has been recognized and referred by administrators and healthcare professionals at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Vancouver General Hospital, St. Paul’s Hospital, and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.

He has more than 50 years of healing experience and has been practicing professionally for over 18 years, working with thousands of clients from around the world through distant healing, because the healing energies are not bound by geographical location.

He also brings the medicine through story, with his fictional series The Shaman Chronicles, where the healing comes through the narrative itself to help the reader grow and recover.

Mark offers a full refund if he cannot improve your condition.

How Soul-Level Trauma healing fits with the rest of the work

The mind, the body, and the soul are always intertwined. A wound to one affects the others. Complete healing means addressing all three.

Energy healing works at the level of the body: the nervous system, the energy field, the physical stress patterns that get locked in place over time. Shamanic healing works at the level of the soul: restoring wholeness after fragmentation, returning the pieces of yourself that trauma took with it. Soul-Level Trauma™ healing is the name for the specific target both practices are aimed at reaching. The wound that lives below the mind and below the body, at the level where it can actually be resolved.

For some people, what is needed is primarily energy healing. For others, the soul retrieval and restoration work is what moves things. For most people who have been stuck for a long time, the answer involves both. Mark will tell you honestly which direction makes sense for your situation. He will also tell you if he does not think he can help.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Soul-Level Trauma™ healing the same thing as shamanic healing?

Soul-Level Trauma™ healing encompasses the entire process: understanding the wound, its sources, and what can be done about it in each specific case. Shamanic healing is one of the primary tools used to reach it. The distinction matters because Soul-Level Trauma is not only addressed through shamanic technique. Mark brings energy healing into the work as well, depending on where the wound lives and what it needs. Think of Soul-Level Trauma healing as the name of the destination. The shamanic and energy practices are the roads that get there.

Do I need to believe in anything specific for this to work?

No. The purpose of this work is integration, not ideology. What is required is that you genuinely want to feel better. Mark has worked with clients who came to him as skeptics and left changed. The work does not depend on your belief.

I’ve tried energy healing before and didn’t get much from it. Is this different?

It may be. Soul-Level Trauma is a specific condition, and not every practitioner is working at the level where it lives. If what you experienced previously felt like general wellness work rather than something reaching into the actual root of the problem, that distinction is worth paying attention to. Mark’s work is specifically aimed at the wound beneath the wound. The question worth asking is whether what you tried before was reaching for that level or working on the surface of it.

What conditions does Soul-Level Trauma healing address?

Soul-Level Trauma sits underneath a wide range of conditions. Mark works with people carrying PTSD and complex trauma, chronic depression that has not responded fully to treatment, grief that will not lift, anxiety that returns even after significant progress, a persistent sense of emptiness, and conditions where the person knows something is wrong but cannot get a clear name for it. The common thread is a feeling of being stuck at a level that other approaches have not reached.

What does a session cost, and what happens if it does not work?

Session fees are discussed during the consultation process. If Mark cannot improve your condition, your payment is refunded. This is the guarantee he has stood behind for his entire professional practice.

How do I know if I am a good candidate for this work?

The clearest sign is this: you have done real work on your healing, and there is still something underneath it that has not shifted. If that sentence describes you, a conversation with Mark is the right next step. The free consultation exists exactly for this. He will tell you what he thinks, including if he believes something else would serve you better.

If nothing has fully reached it yet, this might be the conversation worth having.

Mark works with clients from around the world through remote distance healing. No travel required. No geographic limits. The session works exactly the same way whether you are in Vancouver or five time zones away.
